Rob Bethea is a member of the Business, Real Estate and Finance Practice Group and brings advanced taxation training and a decade of transactional experience to the table. Rob assists clients in helping business clients maximize their financial gains in mergers, acquisitions and other transactions. Clients also benefit from his counsel in the areas of corporate and partnership taxation, tax-deferred exchanges of real and personal property, company start-ups, tax-exempt organization planning, and general contractual matters.  Additionally, Rob has substantial experience in the marine, automotive, and healthcare industries and actively represents clients in these sectors.

Matters he has handled include:

• Representation of multi-generational family businesses in acquisition transactions
• Reinvestment of condemnation proceeds
• Representation of foreign business entities in acquisitions, re-capitalizations and re-domestication transactions within South Carolina
• Corporate relocation and expansion issues including development incentives
• Structuring complex development ventures such as office building construction, apartment and condo projects, urban redevelopment projects and medical facility construction
