Mary Sowell League is in the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group. She has concentrated her efforts in workers’ compensation defense for more than 18 years and during that time has defended thousands of cases. Prior to joining the firm, Mary was a law clerk to the late Justice George T. Gregory, former chief justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court, providing her with a unique perspective of the Supreme Court. Mary has been included in The Best Lawyers in America® every year since 2007.
Mary’s experience includes:
- Representation of employers, insurance carriers, and self-insureds before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission.
- Representation of employers, insurance carriers, and self-insureds in appeals to the South Carolina Circuit Court, South Carolina Court of Appeals and South Carolina Supreme Court.
