Jack Pringle is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, specifically in the areas of administrative and regulatory law, information technology, public utility, environmental law and land use litigation, and class action litigation.
Jack’s experience includes:
- Litigating a variety of regulatory matters before state agencies and the S.C. Administrative Law Court, including environmental permitting cases, disadvantaged business enterprise ("DBE") applications, license applications, and proceedings before the South Carolina Public Service Commission.
- Addressing information technology issues and the retention, collection, and production of electronically stored information (“ESI”). Jack has completed the Kroll Ontrack Advanced E-Discovery Certification Course.
- Counseling financial institutions, integrated service providers, software companies, and other information technology firms on a variety of regulatory compliance matters, contractual negotiations and disputes.
- Advising wireline, cable, wireless and fiber optic providers on the franchising and regulatory requirements applicable to operating in South Carolina.
- Representing competitive local exchange carriers in a variety of regulatory, contract and litigation matters.
- Assisting utilities, developers, and property owners in obtaining zoning and land use approvals, and addressing environmental permitting, compliance, remediation, and enforcement matters.
- Class action litigation.
Committed to fostering leadership in himself and others, Jack is an alumnus of Leadership Columbia and a volunteer soccer coach in the Columbia YMCA youth league. His interest in technology serves him well as a member of the Board of Trustees of Engenuity SC, a strategic leadership council dedicated to guiding initiatives to spur the creation of knowledge-oriented companies in South Carolina.
