Jenkins M. Mann
Associate
As a member of the Litigation and Dispute
Resolution Practice Group, Jenkins focuses his practice on a broad range of
commercial litigation matters for local, regional and national companies and
institutions as well as individuals. He represents clients in state, federal,
and bankruptcy court in both South
Carolina and other jurisdictions on a pro hac vice basis. Jenkins’ practice
includes:
- Banking
and Financial Services Litigation – Representing creditors in Chapter
7, 9, 11 and 13 Bankruptcies, including the representation of creditors in
adversary proceedings, often involving voidable preference, removal/abstention
proceedings, and turnover actions.
- Title
Insurance Litigation – Representing title insurance companies in
both coverage evaluations and resolution of insured title claims.
- Real
Estate Litigation – Representing
businesses and individuals in a wide array of matters concerning the sale,
ownership, development and use of real estate.
- Landlord/Tenant
Litigation – Representing commercial landlords in lease disputes,
distraint and collection actions and eviction proceedings.
- Commercial
Contract Litigation – Representing
businesses in contract disputes and litigation.
- Product
Liability Litigation -- Representing individuals in substantial-injury
product liability litigation.
- Appellate
Practice – Representing clients in matters on appeal in both the
South Carolina Supreme Court and the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
While in law school, Jenkins was a Dean’s List
student and served as Project Editor for the Real Property, Probate and Trust
Journal. Jenkins is a 2009 graduate of the Greater Columbia Chamber of
Commerce Leadership Columbia Program and is a member of several legal and civic
organizations.

Details: Represented distinguished South Carolina law firm in their continued
use of their founding partner’s name after his death.
Outcome: South Carolina
Supreme Court affirmed a favorable summary judgment disposing of all claims.

No. 2011-UP-517 (Ct. App., 2011)
Details: Represented landowners in an action to upset their purchase of certain
Orangeburg County property.
Outcome: South Carolina Court of Appeals affirmed a favorable summary
judgment disposing of all claims.
