Initially, supervising shareholders mentor new associates as they navigate casework drawn from throughout the firm. Thorough and timely evaluations ensure every associate has the opportunity to develop and expand skills. Further, we support associates in endeavors that develop leadership, civic strength and personal fulfillment.

Summer Associate Program

Legal service is a privilege Ellis Lawhorne shares with law students through an effective, enjoyable summer program. Accepted students can apply theory to challenging case assignments including trial, hearing, mediation, closing and conference experiences that extend classroom learning. We encourage associates to explore specific service areas of interest and offer opportunities to become more familiar with us inside and outside the office. The program has delivered many well-trained attorneys who find the firm the ideal place to begin their law practice.
