Jake Barker Selected to the SC Bar Association's Leadership Academy
We are pleased to announce
that associate attorney Jake Barker has been accepted into the South Carolina
Bar Association’s 2012 Leadership Academy.
The Leadership Academy is a highly selective program designed to enhance the
professional growth and leadership skills of its members and prepare them for
greater contributions to the legal profession and the community. This fourth
installment of the Academy will focus on the following topics: lawyers in
public service, professionalism, career development, work-life balance, lawyers
and the judiciary, pro bono and community service, and service to the Bar.
Part of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group, Jake focuses his
practice on banking, finance and real estate disputes. He represents lenders in
matters related to financial fraud, foreclosure defense, and counsels clients
on business opportunities, contracts, and other financial lending matters.
He is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Richland County Bar Association
and the American Bar Association. Jake currently serves on the Law-Related
Education Committee and the Practice and Procedure Committee for the South
Carolina Bar.
