Ellis Lawhorne Expands Its Office
Ellis, Lawhorne & Sims, P.A. has announced the expansion of the firm’s office. As of December 3, 2007, the firm will occupy both the fifth and sixth floors of the Carolina First building at 1501 Main Street.
The expansion of Ellis Lawhorne’s office is part of the firm’s strategic growth plan. The new space accommodates 47 attorney offices and 22 paralegal offices. The expansion from just under 30,000 square feet to more than 35,000 square feet will allow Ellis Lawhorne to hire additional legal and professional staff.
Executive Director Tommy Little says the expansion is exciting for the firm. “Over the past five years, the firm has experienced fairly dramatic growth, going from 24 attorneys to 32 and from 11 paralegals to 19. We are pleased we are able to remain in the same building, in the heart of Columbia’s central business district. We plan to be a mainstay on Main Street for years to come.”
