NewsEllis Lawhorne Attorney Named to the Carolina Children's Home Board of DirectorsShelly Sunderman Montague, a shareholder in Ellis, Lawhorne & Sims, P.A., has been named to the Board of Directors of the Carolina Children’s Home. As a member of the board, Montague is responsible for carrying out the mission of the Carolina Children’s Home and working with the board on policies, budget and financial issues. She will serve an eight-year term, which began in 2007. Montague is a member of the Ellis Lawhorne Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Her practice is focused on construction litigation, commercial litigation and insurance defense, representing insurance carriers. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Washington & Lee University in 1996, and her juris doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1999. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar, Richland County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division of the Richland County Bar, and the Defense Trial Attorneys Association.
